what does cachaco mean ?

What does "Cachaco" mean?

It comes from Gallicism "Cache" (distinction, refinement, elegance) and has become a word of representation for those born in the capital of Colombia, Bogotá.
Then used in the first half of the XX century thanks to the concentration of wealthy people in the capital region. The word Cachaco, not identified at that time men and women at this location but the community of entrepreneurs, merchants and burghers from all over the country concentrated there.

It manages the creation of this adjective from the use of a good dress code, "dress with cache".
The era of ties, shirts with cuffs for cufflinks, bow ties, wide-brimmed hats and Varon Dandy eau, trying to survive. And there are those who take the initiative to recall those times, to bring them to the present.

Doesn't matter if it's for hobby, a youth group took the initiative last year to organize "El Ciclopaseo Cachaco" trying to bring together all those who seek an excuse to use vintage clothing, clothing of our ancestors. The proposal is that, strolling costumed bicycle  "That 70's Show" style and plenty of attitude.

In itself, be cop is a culture. Full of typical expressions, ways of living and dining. Á carachas, Á caray, Ala mi chino, Chirriadísimo, La chompa, “cálcese"are some words from the lexicon more conservative that you can say in a "tertulia " taking "aguapa'nela con queso or " chocolate santafereño"

And is that even though men's fashion has also been part of many changes throughout history, something that should stay in time, are the subtle changes in dress for men.

We do not like too radical change or compromise our sexual orientation, whatever that is. Still, with torn jeans, dirty shoes, hair styling "resinous" that covers half the face and making a style "trashy" have managed to set a trend in youth. Whether for political reasons or simply because anarchism is comfortable. Too bad.
